Mickey or my mum is called Martin

So I finished the first of 3 illustration to show something about the childbook Here is the story: This is Mickey. Mickey is a totally normal boy. He is six years old and will go to the school soon. He loves lots of things, other children loves, too: soccer, swimming Although Mickey is a little bit different, than other children, because he has got two dads. These are Martin and Mike. They adopted him, when Mickey had been a very small baby. Mickey’s mum had been very young and couldn’t look after him. So Mickey maybe had been taken to a children’s home. Being with Martin and Mike he is feeling also good, like in other families with mother and father. They are doing lots together. They are going to the Zoo or are playing soccer. Everything is gorgeous, only that Martin and Mike are gay. In the past it had been very hard for gay people, they also had been outlawed. Total it is easier for them. They are allowed to get married and are also allowed to adopt poor children like Mickey. Martin and Mike also have got totally normal jobs. Martin is paediatrician and Mike is a lawyer. For his school enrolment Mickey gets a little cat as present. Mickey is calling her Tom. For the first school day Mickey gets a big cardboard cornet full of sweet, which he shows proud to everybody. He gets a very nice teacher … who is asking the students to draw their families first. Mickey takes his crayons and draws himself, Martin, Mike and the cat Tom. One of the boys of the class thinks that the drawing couldn’t be normal, because Mickey hadn’t drawn a mum. So the girl next to Mickey is showing the boy her drawing. The drawing shows the girl, called Tarja, her biological father Charles and his husband Damon. They have got a cat too, named Jerry. Mickey and Tarja become very good friends and are doing lots together. Both are proud of their fathers, reached so many. And both can’t imagine another life. Sometimes only they wish themselves a world with more tolerance, and they would do everything for her existence … because at the end all people are the same … This illustration can maybe happen after they have drawn the family pictures in school, because the 2 pictures of Tarja and Mickey had been put on the wall behind this cute children.
